Yea but what about Ted Bundy 😂
Man I miss this Neil, the activist version just seems unhinged
trying to watch this video for my astronomy class and utterly distracted by to build a home in the background
Because God made it, duhhh
This video gave me hope and made me feel like I belong back in 2012. I always come back to watch it periodically to remind myself.
its is amazing how the universe work
Your body is home to innumerable forms of life. All living and working in symbiosis. All bodies are this way. From the blue whale in the ocean to the smallest gnat to us, as humans. We are proof of Multiverse Theory, for we are, in and of ourselves, a Universe as alive as the very one we live in.
I've been watching this video once every couple of months for the past decade. And it does not get any less impressive, any less humbling, any less beautiful with each subsequent view. Thank you.
Oi, oi só queria comentar que li um livro chamado "suzy e as aguas vivas", é por isso que estou aqui :)
If each of us had to adopt a "religion", this would be mine. Nothing is more profound, and profoundly comforting, than the knowledge that we are made of stars, and that upon our deaths, we start a new journey of returning our atoms to the universe. Man-made gods have got nothing on this.
But I also choose to believe in God
Wrong. You choose to believe in a god. Capitalizing the "g" does not make the myth any more real. Personally, I chose to live in reality, but that's just me
God is not real 😂😂😂😂
Yes😊
I use this as a recharge for my mind. My body and if i have time, my sense of joy. That one doesn't always get the spotlight it deserves. Don't make my mistake. Always make time for joy
I’ve come a long way.
R made of starstuff
We 😉
This clip would have been so much better without that annoying background music! When will people learn...
Alan Watts did it better
Fuck materialism
It was what helped me click. First true revelation. I became one with the cosmos and started exploring the world from the perspective of the universe. My perspective. From my own eyes! Yes! The universe is seeing itself through my eyes! My whole self is made from particles you find at every corner between space and matter. This allowed me to come to the realization of my atheism. How I am not bound by a conscious transcended figure who’s portrayed as directly involved in the affairs of the world and its creatures. I became mentally free. I report to no supposed “ultimate” goodness or power. I report to the universe that I am a part of. The universe that’s witnessing itself through me. This is my definition of spirituality. The awe. Not paper, ink, and a story. But through systematic experimentation and rigorous testing, we unlock the secrets of the universe. 🫶🏻
Ever feel small? There are more atoms in a grain of sand than there are stars in the universe. Let that sink in….
Cue the Jesus freaks in 3...2...1.
BS
Science. What do you believe in? Some invisible man in the sky?
This is my religion.
Sadge
The only thing missing is how the ingredients in star dust turned into human beings. It actually happened in the beginning: "--the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7)." 💥🕺💖
lol, now tell us the one about Goldilocks and the three bears.
When in doubt .. watch this
I am a star. We all are.
Is he referring to the conservation laws?
He lied right off the bat, the atoms are not traceable, it's hypothesized that they come from there.
Death does not scare me, for I always was before birth. No, I do not fear death. I fear what I will misse while I wait to live again.
Anyone watching in 2024?
Yes, as relevant as ever! This is one of the most compelling reasons why no humans are better than any other
I always come back to remind myself 💜
Ahh.. Never mind.. Fantasy is allowed.. Yesternight indreames a buffalo speaking.. ROFL see now its true... 🤣🤣
That sounds all moving and beautiful, but he forgot the most astounding fact if his beliefs hold true. Dawkins actually said it best. “The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.” Doesn’t have it just warm your heart?
In the beginning, God created the heavens and earth... And Neil considers himself an atheist...
Who here is cutting onions? 🥲
Threre is no god but stardust creating life
not too epic
👍
I remember being so inspired by this vid a decade ago. A shame how much of an arrogant airhead NDT has become now.
makes me not be so afraid of the end
Where does this clip come from?
